Firstly, well done to George from the Monday group for doing the walk up Pen y Fan! We very pleased for him for doing that challenge.
We have grown veg here at the Secret Garden at St Fagans. We’ve grown runner beans, tomatoes courgettes, cucumbers, potatoes and salads. It hasn’t been the best of years for growing some things though as things have been eaten. I am quite pleased with what we have grown at the Secret Garden. It’s a good experience and there is a lot to learn as well. I love volunteering here.
On Thursday 22nd August there was a celebration party for the volunteers. It was to thank them for all the hard work they have done at the Secret Garden since the project began in December 2022. The garden has come a long way and I really hope it will carry on after September. There was a buffet and a presentation for all the volunteers. We received a certificate and a medal, I loved it! I’ve been told I’ve come on a long way since I started and I’ve built my confidence. I was pleased to hear this.
The party finished off with a tour around the garden. Well done everyone for all your hard work the garden is looking great!
